Natural Gas Futures: Extra gains in the pipeline

Open interest in natural gas futures markets rose by around 6.1K contracts after five consecutive daily drops on Thursday, according to preliminary readings from CME Group. In the same line, volume went up for the second session in a row, this time by around 92.5K contracts.

Natural Gas: On its way to the 2022 high

Prices of natural gas rose sharply on Thursday, reaching the third daily advance in a row. The marked improvement in prices was accompanied by rising open interest and volume, exposing the continuation of the uptrend in the very near term. That said, the next target of note emerges at the 2022 peak at $9.75 per MMBtu (July 26).
