UK: Claimant Count Change up 33.6K in July, against forecasts
FXStreet (Łódź) - The number of unemployment people in the UK rose by 33.6K in July, following a 39.5K drop registered in June, National Statistics reported on Wednesday. Analysts expected a 30.0K fall. The Claimant Count Rate was at 3.0%, following a 3.1% reading.
The ILO Unemployment Rate slid to 6.4% in June, from 6.5% in May.
Average Earnings excluding Bonus rose 0.6% in the three months to June, following a 0.7% reading in the three months to May. Average Earnings including Bonus dropped 0.2%, in comparison with 0.4% growth, slightly below projections of -0.1%.
The ILO Unemployment Rate slid to 6.4% in June, from 6.5% in May.
Average Earnings excluding Bonus rose 0.6% in the three months to June, following a 0.7% reading in the three months to May. Average Earnings including Bonus dropped 0.2%, in comparison with 0.4% growth, slightly below projections of -0.1%.
