EUR futures: stance remains negative

According to preliminary figures for EUR futures markets from CME Group, investors added around 6.6K contracts to their open interest positions on Monday from Friday’s final 526,586 contracts, recording the sixth consecutive build. In the same line, volume increased by nearly 21.8K contracts, reverting two drops in a row.

EUR/USD poised for further pullbacks

EUR/USD recorded fresh 2018 low in the 1.1220 region at the beginning of the week amidst rising open interest and volume, a bearish sign that opens the door for a deeper retracement, initially to 1.1188. The oversold condition could prompt some squeeze higher in the near term, however.
