UK PM to get support on Brexit divorce bill - FT

In order to move Brexit negotiations on to the next phase, UK's PM May is said to have got Cabinet support for a higher "divorce bill" offer for the EU from ministers on Monday.

  • The EU wants €60bn odd while the UK had originally proposed €20bn.
  • There had been some rumours last week that the prime minister was preparing to offer a bill of up to £40 billion (around €45 billion), according to some reports.
