AUD/USD climbs to 11-day peak after US data

AUD/USD got a sudden boost and climbed to its highest level in over a week as the greenback weakened on the back of disappointing ISM non-manufacturing data.

AUD/USD has climbed nearly a hundred pips throughout the day, accelerating the advance after data showed the ISM services PMI dropped to 51.4 in August from 55.5 the previous month, and below the 55.0 expected. 

AUD/USD reached a peak of 0.7678 and it was last trading at 0.7670, recording a 1.2% gain on Tuesday.

AUD/USD levels to consider

As for technical levels, immediate resistances could be faced at 0.7691 (Aug 26 high), 0.7722 (Aug 18 high) and 0.7759 (Aug 11 high). On the other hand, supports are seen at 0.7562 (Sep 5 low), 0.7535 (Sep 2 low) and 0.7490 (100-day SMA).
