Further ECB easing not ruled out – ECB’s Praet

Peter Praet, Executive Board member of the ECB, has argued that the central bank could add further stimulus if needed via another cut of the deposit rate.

Praet has also reiterated that the ECB still has measures to tackle the disinflationary pressures.

EUR/USD remains on the defensive, down from overnight tops near 1.1340 to the current 1.1280 neighbourhood.
