The Euro gained momentum across the board, probably boosted by the EUR/GBP that jumped above 0.7910 and rose to 3-week highs.
EUR/USD approaches 1.2500 (again)
During the week the pair traded momentarily above 1.2500 on Monday but failed to hold and then, tested the area but failed to break higher. Today the mentioned level continues to offer resistance. Since Tuesday’s American session EUR/USD has been moving in range between 1.2420 and 1.2500.
“The euro has been more stable against the US dollar so far during November. After breaking below the 1.2500-level following the ECB’s monetary policy meeting earlier this month, there has since been little follow through to the downside for EUR/USD”, wrote analysts from Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ.
